Lauren Craniotes was named Vice President of Production at Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions, a multi-faceted division involved in theatrical productions, sequels and acquisitions, in January 2011.  Her responsibilities include overseeing the development and production activities at Stage 6 Films, such as THE NEW GIRL, which is currently in pre-production. Earlier in her career, Lauren was named Vice President of Production at Warner Independent Pictures where she oversaw the highly acclaimed film, IN THE VALLEY OF ELAH, written and directed by Paul Haggis, and Don Cheadle’s documentary, DARFUR NOW. During her tenure at Warner Brothers as a Production Executive, Lauren was involved with the award winning film THE DEPARTED and hits like CONSTANTINE and MUST LOVE DOGS.In addition to her creative achievements in filmed entertainment, Lauren Craniotes has been a judge for Sundance Institute’s Native Lab Fellowship, in addition to The Urbanworld Film Festival jury and The Black Film Festival.Craniotes is a graduate of Harvard Business School with an undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University.
